What does "being green" truly mean in your industry and who ever said that being green also means being cheap?

Jean Bukshpan adores POMEGA5 products

Beauty is skin-deep, so read the labels

GOING GREEN

When you're shopping for lotions and potions, experts caution that you shouldn't assume a product is "all natural" just because that's what the label says.

Sophie Uliano, author of Gorgeously Green, suggests studying ingredients. Many beauty products have chemical preservatives, strengtheners or sealants, so doing homework is a must, she says.

"Look for something that is 100% made with organic ingredients. Be wary of something that says just made with organic ingredients, or that says pure or natural or botanical," says Uliano, who also cautions against being seduced by natural-looking packaging. "If you see a long list of chemical-sounding names you can't pronounce, put it down and look for something else."

There's plenty to choose from. Origins recently launched a collection of organic face and body products that are 73% to 98% organic and certified under the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Organic Program. Dr. Hauschka Skin Care is known for using mostly biodynamic and organic ingredients in its line of holistic skin care. And Pangea Organics' products come in biodegradable packaging, with all the ingredients listed and explained online.

Look for products certified as ecologically sound by Ecocert or QAI, two independent bodies.
POMEGA5 is the first and only high-couture line made of Omega 5 oil. It is free of parabens, solicones etc, yet gives youd the feel and look of any high end product line. Price accordingly at $62.

Eco-friendly events can leave large, unfriendly footprints

GOING GREEN

Green-meeting consultants suggest these practices for staging low-impact events:

Sign up volunteers to keep trash out of recycle bins.

Use compostable plates, cups and silverware. Example: cups made from corn.

Ban disposable giveaways by requiring exhibitors to stick with recycled and recyclable materials.
Pick contractors who use materials that are not environmentally harmful for staging, carpeting and other areas.

Reduce paper by steering participants to electronic information sources.

Shop locally for food and other items to keep emissions and shipping costs down.

Encourage refillable bottles, perhaps touting a sponsor's logo, and steer attendees to drink refill stations.

Discourage driving by offering admission discounts for those who walk, bike or ride public transit to the event.

Events with green themes are drawing unprecedented crowds — and often leaving crater-sized environmental footprints.

That's the message from concerned activists and consultants who are calling on organizers of everything from green conferences to environmental festivals to green up their own acts. At stake, they say, are more than the copious waste and carbon emissions that public events routinely generate. Lost in waste-intensive events are precious teaching moments and a measure of credibility for environmental initiatives.

"The dialogue is cheapened when environmental events themselves do not showcase some environmental criteria for how they are implemented," says Ron Mader, founder of ecotourism journal Planeta.com. "You're harming the development of a constituency which would support and carry forth (green) ideals."

At issue are the physical components of big gatherings: food waste, drink packaging and giveaway items, to name a few. Advocates for greener events tout the virtues of biodegradable flatware (such as plates made from corn), compost bins and requirements that exhibitors dole out only that which has been or could be recycled.

Plastic forks? Bottled drinks?

But too often, they say, these and other low-impact, affordable options take a back seat — even at events to promote green habits — to such eco-unfriendly conventions as plastic forks, bottled drinks and overflowing garbage cans.

"At most 'green' events that we go to, we're always disappointed and we're always sad because there's so much work to be done in this industry," says Georgia Malki, president of Seven-Star Events, a green events production and consulting firm in Asheville, N.C.

Concerns come as events around the country incorporate the theme of environmental sustainability. The trend includes preparations for the national political conventions. Democratic delegates are encouraged to offset carbon emissions incurred en route to Denver in August. Organizers for the September Republican gathering in Minneapolis-St. Paul are using such eco-friendly procedures as electronic transmission of news releases and booking information.

Another telling sign: The Baltimore Convention and Visitors Bureau is fielding requests from event planners about the city's efforts to go green, according to Chad Chappell, manager of national accounts.

Industry and government have recognized a need to set standards for green meetings. The Convention Industry Council, a trade organization, in December convened a panel to develop benchmarks for the staging of low-impact events.

Then in February, the Environmental Protection Agency began discussions with representatives from the meetings industry to come up with voluntary standards to guide planners as well as EPA officials, since the agency plans to make sure its own events adhere to criteria for sustainability.

Anne Goldfeld attends dozens of environmental fairs and festivals every year in the Scottsdale, Ariz., area as she travels locally to promote reusable grocery bags. Her experience is almost always the same: not enough volunteers to keep trash out of recycling bins; beverages in individual, disposable containers creating heaps of waste; exhibitors handing out foam, plastic or other non-recyclable keepsakes.

"At every (green) event that I've ever been to," Goldfeld says, "somebody is pushing some kind of disposable item or things in plastic packaging. … There are always rules for exhibitors about no alcohol, no firearms — the legal stuff — but I've yet to see one that specifically says 'Only bring earth-friendly materials.' "

A few factors help explain the frequency of not-so-green pitfalls. For starters, experts in putting on events aren't always as gung-ho to go green as are their clients, who often delegate logistical decision-making to a contractor.

Sometimes event contractors resist making changes to their time-tested systems, Malki says, and some worry that greener practices will increase costs. But according to green meeting consultant Amy Spatrisano, steps to reduce footprints often lead to cost savings. Example: By using water refilling stations instead of bottled water, she says, two clients saved $25,000 and $50,000, respectively, at multi-day events for 1,200 and 3,500 people.

Trying to define 'green'

Still, not everyone agrees on what it means for an event to be green enough. "Our industry has no standards" for low-impact events, says Spatrisano, president of Meeting Strategies Worldwide in Portland, Ore., and an advocate for standards. "If we have no standards in our industry, then who's to say what's green and what's not?"

Though room for improvement persists, some events are getting greener. Non-profit Green Festivals, including one held in Seattle earlier this month, are showing how a weekend event for 40,000 people can keep about 98% of its waste out of landfills.

Keeping a footprint small "starts with the design of the event and the contracts for the event, and it goes through to really executing well all of the waste recovery," says Alisa Gravitz, co-producer of Green Festivals, an enterprise to celebrate local green initiatives.

As good practices get tested, innovation is also blossoming. Baltimore, for instance, plans to plant rather than discard flowers that grace the dinner tables of meeting planners when they visit the city.

"With a lot of this stuff that's going on with greening (events), we have the ability to do it," Chappell says. "We just all need to be thinking in that way."

POMEGA5 is a leading eco-beauty product line using Omega 5 oil green technology

Luther Gerson explains the benefits of Omega 5 oil

Eco-minded beauty products that are good for you too

Eco-minded chemical-free products can help you look and feel good.
Cosmetic manufactures are making ecological strides to appeal to customers who want to purchase products from companies with a conscience.

Here's a list of products that can do more than make you good:

All proceeds from Aveda's $10"Light the Way" organic Bulgarian lavender candlego to the Global Greengrants Fund to support grassroots clean water projects around the world. (The company is, year round, known for its regular use of organic and sustainable packaging.) The candle is available through April. Go to Aveda.comor Aveda at South Coast Plaza.

Tweezerman's "Go Green" mini slant tweezers, $10 at drugstore.com, have gone small to save on production costs. Packaging is made from 100 percent recycled paper and printed with soy-based inks. One tree will be planted and $1 will be donated to the Arbor Day Foundation for every purchase.
POMEGA5. It surprised us when we searched for “pomegranate” in our list of archives that we really haven’t done a feature on them yet. We’ve mentioned them as a flavor for lollipops, tea and even a cocktail delight but nothing in specific detail. Maybe it’s because the benefits of pomegranates are so widely known these days that we think you, our dear readers, are educated enough about them. Here’s one thing we bet you didn’t know: because pomegranate seed oil is one of the most powerful immune-support compounds ever discovered in nature, it’s now being used for skin care as well. Pomega5 is the skin care industry’s first complete line of organic pomegranate seed oil nutritional supplements and therapeutic skin care.

By using the highest quality, 100% pure cold-pressed pomegranate seed oil, Pomega5 has created a unique line of products that soothe, moisturize and heal dry, irritated skin which is perfect for us. We tried the Healing Cleansing Bar which is a soap-free cleanser made with olive oil, organic pomegranate seed oil, herbs and essential oils. We liked how clean our skin felt without feeling tight. We followed this with the Healing Cream which was equally soothing. Again, made with 100% organic pomegranate oil, it’s also known for benefits such as restoring and healing in addition to preventing anti-aging. Oh…and did we mention the smell? Yuuummy. The only aspect of Pomega5 to improve upon that this TreeHugger could find was their packaging. The products came in an over-sized box filled with Styrofoam peanuts. But not to worry – we followed the How to Green Your Recycling advice and reused the box and recycled those pesky things. ::Pomega5

Cargo PlantLove lipstick, $20 at Sephora, comes in a tube made from corn that can be composted by placing it inside your green waste bin. The outer packing is embedded with wildflower seeds that sprout colorful blooms when planted.

Physicians Formula Organic ware is the first makeup available in the states that is Ecocert-certified, which means it's rigorously inspected by a European body accredited to guarantee products are at least 95 percent organic. Compacts are made from recycled paper and with 93 percent less plastic than their regularly packaged products. Blush and bronzer compacts are $11.95-$13.95 at drugstore.com.

Kiehl's Superbly Restorative Preparations body lotion and dry oil, $30-$35, is made with organic Moroccan Argan Oil, the first fairly traded ingredient used in any of its products. Women at the Moroccan Targanine Cooperative preserve the Argan forest by planting trees and harvesting Argan nuts. On Earth Day, the first 50 customers to return an empty Kiehl's bottle to the South Coast Plaza store for recycling will receive a canvas Kiehl's tote bag.

Jessica Cosmetics voluntarily removed hazardous chemicals from all of its formula nail polishes four years ago. Formaldehyde, already banned in Sweden and Japan, is classified as a possible carcinogen by the FDA. The polish is also free of toluene and dibutyl phthalate, known as a potential developmental and reproductive toxin. Colors are $6.50 at jessicacosmetics.com.

There's little regulation of beauty and skin care claims on packaging. Since the FDA doesn't police what goes into cosmetics, consumers who are concerned about hazardous ingredients really have to educate themselves. Organic products are no different. Here are common organic certifications.

More than a Numbers Game
Gone are the days when the most used pick-up line was, “What’s your sign?” With HIV infections continually escalating, “What’s your favorite rubber?” is far more appropriate one-liner used to seduce a new or current lover.

For the 20th year, this past Dec. 1, World AIDS Day tirelessly bombarded us with the latest grave statistics in its efforts to increase HIV awareness and education. The American HIV epidemic appears bigger than ever imagined. The estimated number of AIDS cases in the U.S. is rising, with a new test placing the rate of HIV infection 50 percent higher than previous calculations, for a new whopping estimate of 55,000-60,000 new infections.

Kind of makes you catch your breath when you consider that, for the last decade, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention has been reporting a figure of 40,000 new infections each year, and that in 2003, 1 million individuals in the U.S. were living with HIV, with approximately 25 percent unaware of their infection.

It should go without saying, but I’m going to say it anyway… When sexually active, be proactive — protect yourself and your partner(s).
While sex can be regarded as a sport, this is one game you don’t want to lose.

Practicing safer sex is more important than ever — and easier than ever. Condom companies have really stepped up to the plate to help you keep things sensational and sexy, while staying healthy. For example, condoms are now available with warming lubricants and vibrating rings to enhance your sexual pleasure.

And when you consider that a condom can help a guy last longer and relieve any problems with premature ejaculation, while providing protection against sexually transmitted infections, including HIV, spending a few dollars on your favorite latex or polyurethane smock is not such a bad investment.

The POMEGA5 collection

As better explained in The Hot Guide to Safer Sex, using a condom or dental dam can actually eroticize your efforts in the sack, making for even more orgasmic sex when you consider that protection makes for a more relaxed partner — one who is better able to embrace sexual response instead of worry about anything being transmitted.

Remember, your brain is your biggest sex organ, so make sure you’re using your head in the sack. Protection can make for more passion.

Love more powerful than Sex while Omega 5 oil products more exciting than most natural products in the marketplace

Cindy MacArthur loves POMEGA5 products

Love More Powerful than Sex, Study Claims

Sex and romance may seem inextricably linked, but the human brain clearly distinguishes between the two, according to a new study. The upshot: Love is the more powerful emotion.

The results of brain scans speak to longstanding questions of whether the pursuit of love and sex are different emotional endeavors or whether romance is just warmed over sexual arousal.

"Our findings show that the brain areas activated when someone looks at a photo of their beloved only partially overlap with the brain regions associated with sexual arousal," said Arthur Aron of the State University of New York-Stony Brook. "Sex and romantic love involve quite different brain systems."

The study, announced today, will be detailed in the July issue of the Journal of Neurophysiology.
Left side, right side

The study was small, however, involving 17 young men and women, all of whom had recently fallen madly in love. They filled out questionnaires while their brains were hooked up to a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) system.

Romance seems to steep in parts of the brain that are rich in dopamine, a chemical known to affect emotions. These brain regions are also linked by other studies to the motivation for rewards.

"To our surprise, the activation regions associated with intense romantic love were mostly on the right side of the brain, while the activation regions associated with facial attractiveness were mostly on the left," said Lucy Brown of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

The study also revealed that as a romance matures, so does the mind.

"We found several brain areas where the strength of neural activity changed with the length of the romance," Brown said. "Everyone knows that relationships are dynamic over time, but we are beginning to track what happens in the brain as a love relationship matures."

Love wins

The processing of romantic feelings involves a "constellation of neural systems." The researchers -- neuroscientists, anthropologists and social psychologists -- declare love the clear winner versus sex in terms of its power over the human mind.

"Romantic love is one of the most powerful of all human experiences," said study member Helen Fisher, an anthropologist at Rutgers University. "It is definitely more powerful than the sex drive."

Fisher said the study might suggest some of the physiology of stalking behavior. Other studies suggest that up to 40 percent of people who are rejected in love slip into clinical depression, she said.

"Rejected men and women in societies around the world sometimes kill themselves or someone else," Fisher said.
The POMEGA5 collection

Animals, too

There are hints in the study that romance is not a uniquely human trait.

Some of the changes seen with mature romances were in regions of the brain also associated with pair-bonding in prairie voles. Other studies have found that expressions of attraction in a female prairie vole are linked to a 50 percent hike in dopamine activity in the brain region that corresponds to the location where human romance is processed.

"These and other data indicate that all mammals may feel attraction to specific partners, and that some of the same brain systems are involved," Fisher said.

Girl Scouts Protest Palm Oil, Refuse to Sell Cookies

Girl Scouts may be best known for their cookies, but two Ann Arbor, Mich., middle school students sold magazines this year instead of the organization’s trademark product because they found out an endangered species is threatened by an ingredient in Girl Scout cookies, The Grand Rapids Press reports.
Madison Vorva and Rhiannon Tomtishen, both 12, were doing research to earn a Girl Scout Bronze Award when they discovered the habitat of orangutans in Indonesia is being threatened by the production of palm oil, the newspaper writes.
Palm oil is produced from a fern-like plant called the oil palm tree. This plant can be grown only after the rain forest has been cleared -- most often through administering the slash-and-burn technique, a process that contributes greatly to deforestation. Thousands of orangutans -- now an endangered species -- have been killed in this process and as the demand for palm oil grows, their numbers will continue to dwindle.
"We've seen pictures of orangutans set afire and beaten. You really just want to reach out and do all that you can to help save them," Madison said.
“Just doing the Bronze Award wouldn’t be enough,” Madison said.
"We have stopped selling (the cookies)," Rhiannon said.
In their research, the girls said they found the demand for palm oil has risen in the past few years because it is free of trans-fat. However, it is relatively high in saturated fat.
They said they now avoid any snacks and candies that palm oil is found in.
Recently, Rhiannon and Madison met with Jane Goodall, known for her efforts to protect primates, at a youth conference in Chicago. Goodall signed the girls’ petition against the production of palm oil.

Study -- Omega 5 oil can have important implications for breast cancer treatment -- is it a breakthrough?

Sarah Falcon loves Pomega 5 oil products
Omega 5 oil -- a strong cancer fighter?
Pomegranates were popular in Biblical days and Greek mythology, and now they’re back in fashion, health-wise.
On the heels of the discovery by Israeli researchers that pomegranate juice has antioxidant properties, another Israeli team has found that the fruit could have important implications for breast cancer treatment and estrogen replacement therapy.

The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology research team presented two studies at an international conference in June indicating that pomegranate seed oil triggers apoptosis — a self-destruct mechanism in breast cancer cells. Furthermore, pomegranate juice can be toxic to most estrogen-dependent breast cancer cells, while leaving normal breast cells largely unaffected. Estrogen is a hormone often prescribed to protect postmenopausal women against heart disease and osteoporosis.

“Pomegranates are unique in that the hormonal combinations inherent in the fruit seem to be helpful both for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer,” explains Dr. Ephraim Lansky, who headed the studies. “Pomegranates seem to replace needed estrogen often prescribed to protect postmenopausal women against heart disease and osteoporosis, while selectively destroying estrogen-dependent cancer cells.”

Dr. Martin Goldman, a New York-based board certified internist and life medicine specialist, notes, “This is apparently a safe substance that coud be helpful to many people, especially women at high-risk for developing breast cancer.”(1)

Other research has shown that pomegranate juice is helpful in oxygenating the heart of heart disease patients (American Journal of the College of Cardiology, Sept. 2005), combatting erectile dysfunction (Journal of Urology, July 2005), fighting prostate cancer (Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Sept. 26, 2005); and scientists at Case Western Reserve University have reported that tissue cultures of human cartilage cells respond to pomegranate extract. Inflammation is reduced and the enzymes that break down cartilage become less active (Journal of Nutrition, Sept. 2005). (2)

Sex, milk and ultra green Omega 5 oil skin care by POMEGA5- they all do the body and skin good

Sex and Omega 5 oil make you feel better and younger

Yet most of us are quicker to hit the gym before hitting the sheets when it comes to taking care of ourselves. Believe it or not, huffing and puffing your way through a hot, sweat-inducing sex session may be far more beneficial to your overall health than the time you spend on the treadmill.

As research confirms time and time again, good sex in a healthy, stable, monogamous relationship can only better our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being. Sex, in this context, offers us tons of benefits, most of which aren’t touted nearly enough.

Here are just a few benefits:

— Weight loss and weight control. Forget torturing yourself with the latest fad diet or hours on the elliptical machine when you can burn about 200 calories in 30 minutes of sex! Lovemaking lends itself to improved strength, flexibility, muscle tone, and cardiovascular conditioning. Plus, there’s something super sexy about getting to sleep with your very own “personal trainer.”

— Pain management. Forgo popping a pain killer and opt for something a bit more “au naturel.” Sex has been shown to offer migraine and menstrual cramp relief, as well as alleviate chronic back pain thanks to the endorphins and corticosteroids released during sexual arousal and orgasm.

— Stress relief. Sex, even if only with ourselves, impacts the way we respond to stress, increasing levels of oxytocin and stimulating feelings of warmth and relaxation. What better way to unwind from a tough day than sharing its most climactic moment with your special someone?

— Immune booster. Stop spending late nights at the office. Sex wards off colds and the flu. And sexually active people take fewer sick days, giving the phrase “working late” an entirely new meaning. Bosses, take note.

— Better heart health. A little bit of heart and soul in the sack should be part of every doctor’s orders when it comes to cardiovascular care. Sex may help lower cholesterol and the risk of heart attack.

— Increased self-esteem and intimacy. When sex is consistent and involves mutual pleasure, it can increase bonding since the surge in oxytocin at orgasm stimulates feelings of affection, intimacy, and closeness. When spiritual in nature, sex can lead to an even better quality of life and stronger relationship. Is it any wonder that good sexual energy in a positive relationship can make you feel better about yourself, your partner, and life in general?

— Sleep enhancement. There’s no need to count sheep when sex, including masturbation, helps insomnia. Plus, making love sure beats tossing and turning your way to zzzz’s.

— A better, younger looking you. Sex keeps you looking and feeling younger and, according to some research, may lead to shiny hair, a glowing complexion and bright eyes. This is because it increases the youth-promoting hormone DHEA (dehydroepiandrostone). And feeling more attractive charges your sex life even more.

— Mood lifter. Sex releases pleasure-inducing endorphins during arousal and climax that can relieve depression and anxiety, and increase vibrancy.

— Longevity. There is a significant relationship between frequency of orgasm and risk of death, especially with men. Men who orgasm two times a week have a 50 percent lower chance of mortality than those who climax one time per month. The bonus: Living longer also gives you and your honey the opportunity for even more lovin’!

— Decreased risk of breast cancer. One study of women who had never given birth found that an increased frequency of sexual intercourse was correlated with a decrease in the incidence of breast cancer.

— Reproductive health benefits. According to at least one study, sex appears to decrease a man’s risk of prostate cancer, and the prevention of endometriosis in women. It also promotes fertility in women by regulating menstrual patterns.

The POMEGA5 oil ampules for external use

In a nutshell, the health benefits of sex in a good, solid relationship are practically endless. Yet, in planning our New Year’s resolutions, how many of us are declaring, “I think I’ll have more sex with my lover” in fulfilling any 2008 health and self-improvement goals?

While exercise on a regular basis is important to your health, sex can do so much more for you and your relationship. So before signing any dotted line for a new gym membership, consider how time allotted to an athletic club could be far more effective in your boudoir.

You can get a lot more bang for your buck in the bedroom, double your “membership” benefits, and, with sex breeding the desire for more sex, thanks to a boost in testosterone, it’s a workout plan you’re likelier to stick to.

Rules of attraction -- never marry an attractive man if you do not carry Pomega5 products

The best marriages are those where women marry men who are less attractive than themselves, research has found.

Psychologists who studied newlyweds found men who were better-looking than their wives were more likely to be unhappy and have negative feelings about their marriage.
In couples where the wife is more attractive, both partners tended to be very content.

The research, published in the Journal of Family Psychology, suggests that, in evolutionary terms, women are less choosy about their man's looks as long as he is able to help them reproduce.

Men, however, are programmed to choose a mate who is most likely to pass on their genes and look for youth, health and physical attractiveness.

The tests involved 82 couples married within the previous six months.

Expecting mothers can experience their most intense lovemaking during pregnency, now combine that with Omega 5 oil skincare and what do you get?

Jane Thomas expresses a great appetite for POMEGA5 ultra green skin care

Few think “orgasmic” when they look at a pregnant woman in all her budding — or bulging — belly beauty.
Yet pregnancy is amongst the most sensual, sexual times in a woman’s life.
Unbeknownst to most of us, pregnant women often top the list of the lustfully libidinous, with many expectant mums expressing increased sexual appetite and fervor, much to their partner’s delight or bewilderment, with every ripening day.
Consider, after all, what’s going on with the hot mama’s changing form. First, the hormones of her time with child are blessing her with better skin and hair, making her feel more gorgeous than ever.

While some women, especially the toilet-bound, feel anything but sexy during their pregnancy, many are literally glowing from their expectancy, and love their bodacious body as never before.
Second, whether it’s her first or second trimester, some women experience increased sexual urges, at levels exceeding pre-pregnancy. During the second trimester in particular, many feel hot to trot for reasons far beyond their control.
The vulva seems to have a mind of its own. Mother Nature is revving up a pregnant woman’s sex drive with increased vaginal lubrication, larger breasts, and increased vasocongestion (the flow of blood to the genitals) for heightened vulval sensitivity and a swollen, often to the point of aching, clitoris. A woman is literally a hot mama passion playground for her — and her partner — to enjoy.

Third, during pregnancy, a woman’s dreams may increase and become more sexual in nature. Expectant women have reported more erotic, physical, and varied dreams during pregnancy, with a lighter sleep cycle making it easier to recall the visions and her subsequent nocturnal orgasm(s). Sharing her scintillating nightly visions with her partner can make for even more sizzling real-life action, with many couples fascinated, turned on, and even amused by the thoughts being conjured up during this time.

Given her sexual metamorphosis, all of these changes add up to a much more orgasmic woman! Between feeling sexier, increased genital blood flood, greater vulval sensitivity, and unexpected fantasies, many women experience their first orgasm or multiple orgasms during this time, spontaneously or while love making. This increased ability to reach climactic heights is why many couples work to put aside any discomfort they have with the idea of sex during pregnancy.

Many couples have also learned that sex is a way to stay renewed and connected both physically and emotionally during pregnancy. This is crucial given that research has found that while relationship satisfaction tends to increase slightly during pregnancy, with many couples feeling closer, mutual happiness tends to decrease post-birth, with sexual intimacy the most vulnerable area. Couples who remain intimate, in any of its forms, up through the third trimester, report reconnecting more easily post-partum.

Orgasmic Skin Care
With mother-to-be primed for better sex, many couples have some of their most intense lovemaking experiences during pregnancy, surfacing from the experience stronger than ever. Only Mother Nature could come up with such a perfect plan.

On March 19, the soft porn website Girls Gone Wild featured teasers of Dupré, shot in Miami Beach, Florida in 2003 before she had turned 18,[35][4]while company founder Joe Francis—who faced charges for a shoot involving girls misrepresenting themselves as 18 from back in 2003[36]—prepared to release a full DVD of Dupré footage from company archives. "All nude images of Ms. Dupre were taken in public places and contain no sexual contact," said Francis. "In Florida, where Ms. Dupre was filmed, the law allows even women under the age of 18 to be filmed nude with their consent."[2]
Dupré's attorney, Don Buckwald, argued in an e-mail to Girls Gone Wild, "It was because she was underage that [Francis] sent her home on a Greyhound bus back to North Carolina. It would be outrageous at the very least to play the video of an underage female on the Internet."[37]

Omega 5 oil for your pet?

EFAs (Essential Fatty Acids) For Your Dog?
we love pomega5 products

Essential Fatty Acids and their derivatives serve a number of major vital functions in our dog's body (as well as our own). They are required for the transport and metabolism of both cholesterol and triglycerides.
They are required for normal brain development and brain function. They are required in visual function (retina), brain and nerve function (synapses), and adrenal function. They are required in the structure of the membranes that surround each cell in our body. They stimulate metabolism, increase metabolic rate, increase oxygen uptake, and increase energy production. Omega-3s inhibit the production of prostaglandin.
Prostaglandins play important roles in the development and progression of chronic inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis (Research has shown that supplementing with omega 3 fish oils can result in a significant reduction in joint inflammation, this reduces morning stiffness and lowers the number of painful joints in rheumatoid arthritis patients both animal and human), lupus, inflammatory bowel disease and a variety of other inflammatory disorders. They even work to slow down growth of cancer cells. It has been shown in human studies that the optimum ratio of Omega-6 to Omega 3 is 3:1.
Since Omega-6 is available in grains, poultry and many cooking oils, over the last couple of decades this ratio is now estimated to be 20:1 -- or even as high as 50:1 -- for most Westerners! While many pet food and supplement manufacters are adding Flax Seed or flax seed oil as their source of omega 3, I have found through research and study that the very best source of Omega 3s for our pets is in fish Oil. Not only is fish oil a more species appropraite food/supplement, but studies are giving sufficent evidence that oils such as flax, soy and canola, actually are thyroid toxic. Remember, every cell in the body has tiny structures called mitochondria.
These mitochondria are the lungs of each cell. When we feed our carniviorus pets these highly processed oils, they actually clog the respiration of the cell. Blocking respiration equals suffocation. These oils are difficult to metabolize and find places to lodge with other fat and will stay immobile for years.(Not a good thing!) I recommend fish oil for a healthy diet because it contains the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA),which are precursors to eicosanoids that reduce inflammation throughout the body and because it is much more easily digested and assimulated then flax oil.
Flax oil contains an omega-3 called ALA and other fatty acids. (ALA) is the precursor of the Omega 3 oils (EPA and DHA) found in fish oil. ALA must be converted to EPA and DHA to be of any nutritional benefit. But ALA is not readily converted to EPA and is severely restricted in its conversion to DHA and its ability to be converted is lessened if the diet is too high in omega-6 and this conversion does not always take place, especially for carnivores not designed with the proper enzymes to digsest and convert vegetables or grain produts in the first place. Even in people who are in less than optimal health or elderly often are unable to convert the ALA to DHA and EPA.
EPA (from fish oil) also converts to series 3 prostaglandins, which have many benefits such as: Regulating inflammatory responses (Skin and Joint) Regulating immune function (which can help in fighting disease more effectively) Regulating platelet stickiness Regulating arterial muscle tone (which involves blood pressure regulation) The lack of Omega 3 and the excessive amount of Omega 6 in the modern processed pet foods ultimately create degenerative conditions.
The store-bought processed foods still do not supply an adequate amount of Omega 3 after manufacturers add it; to properly balance the ratio. Many nutritional supplements are still promoting and loading up the Omega 6 (LA) fatty acids - which are exacerbating an already severely imbalanced and unhealthy situation.
The best solution to insure our pet's health is to provide a high quality Omega 3 Fish oil supplement along with a home cooked or fresh raw diet when ever possible. "Active EFAs (EPA & DHA as found in Fish oil)can go straight to work in your dogs body, whereas inactive EFAs such as found in Flax as mentioned above, are unable to carry out their vital roles without first being converted by your dog to the active form. This conversion can only be carried out by enzymes, which your dog may or may not produce. If your dog does not produce those enzymes for any reason, those inactive essential fatty acids are not able to carry out many of their vital functions.
This will lead to ill health. Supplements which contain the activated omega 3 EFAs include Cod Liver oil and Fish body oils such as Salmon oil. Supplements which contain the inactive omega 3 EFAs include flaxseed oil and hemp seed oil. Why would critical activating enzymes be missing? The critical enzyme that converts inactive essential fatty acids into active essential fatty acids can be missing for one of several reasons.
The first is heredity. The other more important reasons for the loss of this enzyme include aging, viral infections, any chronic disease state and by a diet rich in trans fatty acids. Prevention is achieved by removing processed pet foods from our dogs’ lives and switching our dogs to their evolutionary diet together with appropriate fatty acid supplementation as and when required and at the very least, supplementing with a good combination of digestive enzymes.
Read more about Enzymes Here A diet that lacks sufficient omega 3's is the number one fatty acid associated problem caused by modern processed pet foods. This lack of the omega 3’s allows the omega 6’s to produce the whole range of problems caused by an excess of the omega 6’s. "In addition, the lack of the omega 3’s can be a potent cause of infertility in our breeding stock together with growth problems in young pups and kittens, and most importantly, problems with the development of the nervous system.
This can result in early deterioration of vision and hearing, learning difficulties in puppies and kittens and behavioral problems in our pets that can continue throughout life." Dr. Billinghurst "Fatty acids are essential components of cell membranes and are an integral component of the intercellular barrier in the stratum corneum.
This barrier is formed by extrusion of lamellar granules containing phospholipids, glycosphingolipids, and free sterols that are produced by keratinocytes. Essential fatty acids cannot be synthesized and, therefore, must be supplied in the diet. Animals are unable to change one series of fatty acids to another, eg, omega-3 to omega-6. Dermatologic signs of fatty acid deficiency include a thin and discolored haircoat, scaly skin, sebaceous gland hypertrophy with hyperkeratosis of the sebaceous ducts and increased sebum viscosity, increased epidermal turnover rate, weak cutaneous capillaries, and decreased wound healing. Fish Oil is a favorite supplement for many pets as it seems to improve and help a lot of different problems.

"Fish oil is one of my favorite supplements for a variety of problems in both dogs and cats, even normal pets can benefit from improved haircoats when supplemented with fatty acids such as fish oil. In pets, fish oil has been found to be useful for reducing inflammation in pets with allergic skin disease and kidney failure.
It may even help pets with heart disease and osteoarthritis. Studies show that pets fed high doses of fish oil also have better control of cancer. The additon of vitamin E is sometimes recommended when giving fish oil on a regular basis as fish oil supplemented for many months may lower vitamin E levels (most fish oil supplements contain additional vitamin E for this reason). There is concern about environmental contamination of fish oil with toxins. Studies have shown that fish meat (not oil) may be contaminated with methylmercury." Fighting Cancer with EFA's In a diet supplemented with fish oil and the amino acid arginine appears to increase survival time in dogs with lymphoma, a cancer that affects white blood cells.
Dogs with this kind of cancer, similar to non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in humans, are easily treated, but as with humans, their cancer sometimes returns. In this study, half of the dogs received a special "chow" with the two supplements in it, and the other half ate "chow" with soybean oil added. The two diets or "chows" were identical in nutritional value, and formulated to be equally tasty to the dogs. All the dogs were being treated with the anti-cancer drug doxorubicin every three weeks, and were living at home with their owners.
The dogs were fed one of the chows twice a day during and after their cancer treatment. The researchers report that compared to the control dogs, those who ate the supplemented chow showed higher blood levels of two fatty acids called C20:5 and C22:6 that seem particularly effective in fighting cancer. Dogs with more of these fatty acids in their blood also tended to have more normal levels of lactic acid, which tends to accumulate in the blood when metabolism is disrupted in cancer patients.

The dogs with higher levels of these two fatty acids survived longer than those with lower levels, and had longer remissions, periods of time before their disease came back. There is also research which has shown that some polyunsaturated fatty acids, like those found in fish oil, may help prevent the growth and spread of cancer tumors, and may help prevent cachexia -- the devastating weight loss and muscle wasting seen in some cancer patients despite adequate nutrition. Likewise, arginine supplements have been reported to improve immune responses, and might help the body fight cancer.
